ESTIMADOS PADRES DE FAMILIA:
El jueves de esta semana nuestro equipo de fútbol de Primaria jugó en contra del Colegio Santiago Galas y el Colegio Naciones Unidas en nuestra primera Copa VICTORIA. Los tres equipos se divirtieron muchísimo y el resultado final fue un empate. Quisiera felicitar a todos los alumnos que participaron y darles las gracias a Mr. Romero, Mr. Cuevas, Rodolfo, Ale, Mario, América, Saturnino y a la Asociación de Padres de Familia por todo su esfuerzo y trabajo en lograr que esto fuera un éxito.
Le quiero agradecer a Laila Blanco todo su apoyo y ayuda en Kinder durante la Semana Cultural. ¡Muchas gracias!
Felicidades a Rafael Álvarez Navarro quien aprobó su examen de Tae Kwon Do cinta negra 2do DAN-POOM el sábado 11 de junio. Rafael recibió un certificado de excelencia y fue felicitado por los jueces. ¡Muy bien hecho Rafael!
También quiero darles las gracias a los alumnos de Primaria, quienes votaron para los horarios de receso de su preferencia el fin de semana pasado y especialmente a aquellos que escribieron sus comentarios en inglés. Fue interesante ver que los hermanos votaban de diferente manera y una mamá que hizo comentarios y votó diferente de su hijo. El resultado fue de una mayoría clara (74 en contra a 30 a favor) para dejar los recesos como están. No se les olvide que en cada receso siempre hay algo de sombra donde jugar y una gorra con ala ofrece buena protección del sol.
Les recuerdo que hoy, 17 de junio, es la fecha límite para liquidar el campamento de 'La Semana Diferente'. Los pagos se hacen con Mr Duncombe directamente. Además, estamos buscando a alguien que nos pueda ayudar con una camioneta para transportar tiendas y equipo de campaña a Parque Aventura de ida y regreso el martes 28 y jueves 30 de junio. Si tienen la posibilidad de apoyar favor de contactar a Mr Duncombe.
Les recuerdo que el jueves 23 y viernes 24 de junio entre las 8 y 10 a.m. es necesario que los padres de familia de alumnos en Años 2 a 7 visiten el Departamento Administrativo para firmar las boletas. Al tenerlas firmadas se enviarán al Inspector de Primaria de la Zona para su revisión. Este es un requisito nuevo de la SEP que se introdujo este año.
Hemos decidido pedirles a nuestros alumnos que no traigan mochilas con rueditas el próximo año escolar. Realmente no son necesarias para los libros de la escuela y ya han causado uno que otro accidente. Una mochila tipo backpack y una lonchera transporta lo necesario a la escuela igual de bien.
La Noche Musical de Secundaria empezará puntualmente a las 6:30 p.m. y los participantes deberán estar en la escuela a las 6 p.m. Los alumnos han estado practicando sus presentaciones y están muy emocionados de estar en el escenario. Les recuerdo que la entrada es solo con boleto adquirido previamente. Espero verlos por la noche.

DEAR PARENTS,
On Thursday, our primary VICTORIA football team competed against Santiago Galas and Naciones Unidas in our very first Copa VICTORIA. All three teams had great fun and the final result was a draw. I would like to say congratulations to all the students who participated and thank you to Mr Romero, Mr Cuevas, Rodolfo, America, Mario, Ale, Saturnino and the Parent´s Association for working so hard and making it a great success!
I would also like to say thank you to Laila Blanco for all her help in Kinder during Culture Week. Thank you!
Congratulations to Rafael Alvarez Navarro who passed his Tae Kwon Do black belt 2nd DAN-POOM exam on Saturday 11th June. Rafael received a certificate of excellence and he was congratulated by the judges. Well done, Rafael!
I would like to thank all the primary students who voted for their preferred break times last weekend and especially the ones who wrote their own comments in English. I was interested to see siblings voting in different ways and one mum who also commented and voted differently from her son. The result was a clear majority (74 to 30) to leave the system as it is. Don’t forget that there is always some shade to play in each break and a hat with a brim gives good protection from the sun.
Please make sure that you have paid for the Something Different Week camp as the deadline was Friday 17th June. Payments need to go directly to Mr Duncombe. Also, we are looking for someone who has a pick-up truck to help us transport tents and camping equipment to and from Aventura Park on Tuesday 28th June and Thursday 30th June. If you are able to help, please contact Mr Duncombe.
A reminder that on Thursday 23rd June and Friday 24th June, between 8am and 10am, we need all parents of children in Yrs. 2 to 7 to come to the Administration Department to sign the boletas. We then need to send these signed boletas to be checked by the Primary Zone Inspector. This is a new SEP requirement that has been introduced this academic year.
We have decided to ask our students to not bring wheeled bags to school next academic year. These are not necessary for school books and have caused one or two accidents. A back pack and a lunch box gets the important stuff to school just as well.
Secondary Music Night will start promptly tonight at 6:30pm and performers need to be at school at 6:00pm. The students have worked hard practising their performances and they are very excited to be on stage! Remember, it is a ticket only event. I look forward to seeing you there.
